In Bruge: Bicyling by the Belfry

t’s nice, with the work week done, to think back on last month’s travels – including a first-time visit to Belgium.

Here, in Bruges, cycling seems to be a primary means of getting about the city for many.

Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and the buildings invite you to pause and soak up the history.

The backdrop for these cyclists, some of a dozen or so who passed by in the space of a minute? Here, we’re just off the Market (Markt) Square, and the side of the landmark Belfry Tower.
